AE est\u00e1 formada por 90 entidades miembro de 38 pa\u00edses (incluyendo 26 estados miembro) y representa aproximadamente a 7 millones de personas autistas y sus familias de toda Europa. Las personas autistas activistas en primera persona y las familias son el eje central de la organizaci\u00f3n. AE est\u00e1 reconocida por las instituciones europeas como un representante clave de la red europea de personas autistas y sus familias. El trabajo de AE se basa en los principios de la Convenci\u00f3n de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad de las Naciones Unidas.\u00a0<\/p><p>Los objetivos generales de AE son:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Garantizar la plena implementaci\u00f3n y respeto de los derechos y la participaci\u00f3n efectiva de las personas con discapacidad;<\/li><li>Promover un enfoque del autismo basado en derechos y evidencias trabajando junto con las personas con autismo, sus familias, profesionales en la toma de decisiones;\u00a0<\/li><li>Encourage research on autism, prevalence studies and exchange of best<br \/>Fomentar la investigaci\u00f3n sobre el autismo, los estudios de prevalencia y el intercambio de buenas pr\u00e1cticas e intervenciones basadas en evidencia para ni\u00f1os con autismo, as\u00ed como servicios de apoyo y habilitaci\u00f3n para adultos;\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p>AE trabaja con sus miembros para:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Abogar por los derechos de las personas con autismo ante las instituciones europeas;\u00a0<\/li><li>Supervisar las legislaciones y pol\u00edticas europeas;\u00a0<\/li><li>Promover la plena implementaci\u00f3n de la CDPD de la ONU, incluido el acceso a la educaci\u00f3n, la capacitaci\u00f3n y el empleo, la vida independiente, servicios m\u00e9dicos y sociales accesibles, diagn\u00f3stico profesional, intervenci\u00f3n temprana, protecci\u00f3n contra la discriminaci\u00f3n y una mayor inclusi\u00f3n social;\u00a0<\/li><li>Promover el intercambio de informaci\u00f3n, buenas pr\u00e1cticas y experiencias en el campo del autismo;\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Promover la conciencia sobre el autismo.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n
